A registered editor added a company infobox naming TC Productions as a film production company founded in 2008, with Tom Cruise as founder and owner, then replaced the empty successor field with a predecessor crediting Cruise/Wagner Productions.

Your Wikipedia page sets the record everywhere.

Google builds the knowledge panel from it. AI assistants answer questions about you by reading it. It is the one source they all agree to trust, which means a sentence added there tonight is repeated everywhere tomorrow, by systems that will not tell you where they got it.

Anyone can make that edit. No credential, no review, no notice, live the moment it is saved. And Wikipedia does not notify the subject of an article, so an unwatched page is not a quiet page. It is a page whose changes you have not read.

The only option that works, and keeps working, for you.

Wikipedia will email you when your page changes. Once. MediaWiki's own manual is explicit: after that first notification you have to visit the page while logged in before you will be told about anything else. If you do not go back and re-arm it, the emails stop, and nothing tells you they have stopped.

The email does not carry the change either. It tells you something happened and leaves you to work out what.

How each way of monitoring a Wikipedia page compares
Method	Delivers itself	Shows the change	Keeps working	Setup
Wikipedia Watchlist	Yes	No	No	Account, then two settings tabs
Page history RSS	No	Yes	No	A reader, plus a bridge to email
Google Alerts	Yes	No	No	Minimal
WikiMonitor (this product)	Yes	Yes	Yes	A page URL and an email address

Every row is checkable. The notes and sources are on the full comparison.

Questions

How fast is the alert, really?

Within 60 seconds of the edit being saved. We publish measured delivery times on the status page rather than asking you to take the number on faith.

Does Wikipedia not already email me when my page changes?

It emails you once. MediaWiki's own manual states that after the first notification you have to visit the page while logged in before you will be told about anything else. If you do not go back, the emails stop, and nothing tells you they have stopped. The email also does not contain the change.

Do you edit Wikipedia articles?

No, and we will not. Editing an article you have a stake in is against Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest rules, and firms that do it anyway have been caught and banned. We detect changes. What you do next is yours.

What is actually in the email?

The page that changed, when it changed, whether the editor was registered or anonymous, a plain-language summary of what was done, and the change itself as Wikipedia recorded it.

Can I watch a page that is not about me?

Yes. Business and Agency customers commonly watch competitors, executives, subsidiaries and acquisition targets alongside their own article.

What happens if I cancel?

Monitoring stops at the end of the period you paid for. There is no cancellation fee and nothing to phone anyone about.
